From Big Art website: While many artistic mediums have shaped his versatile practice, the centrepiece of Sunil Padwal’s work has largely been making sense of the goings on of a city, having grown up in the south Mumbai of the 1980s. In his latest solo at New Delhi’s Gallery SKE, following an exhibition of drawings and photographs mounted in found frames at Kochi Muziris Biennale 2016, Padwal documents other cities besides Mumbai, while continuing to focus on the mysteries and mundanities of city life.
